New Welsh Language Pressure Group – 16/07/2012

A new pressure group was established today to campaign for the Welsh language. “Dyfodol i’r Iaith” (A Future for the Language) will be an independent, non-political organisation ensuring that the Welsh language is at the heart of civic and community life in Wales.

Dyfodol will use constitutional means to influence the substance and content of public policy and legislation in order to promote and nurture the success of the Wesh language. The organisation is committed to campaign solely by constitutional means and will not espouse any law breaking activities.

First General Meeting – 20th October

The first Annual General Meeting of Dyfodol i’r Iaith will be held on Saturday the 20th of October at Canolfan Arad Goch, Aberystwyth. The meeting will start at 11am and finish at around 3.30pm.

The meeting will be chaired by Angharad Mair and addressed by Professor Richard Wyn Jones.  A panel discussion on lobbying led by Dr Elin Royles.

All are welcome.  Those who have not yet joined Dyfodol i’r Iaith may do so on the day. Only fully paid up members have the right to vote.

Cyfarfod Agored – 08/08/2012

Our first open meeting at the Societies’ Tent (Pabell y Cymdeithasau 2) on the Eisteddfod field at 4pm on Wednesday.
