The part played by the Welsh language in everyday life, in our communities and within our families – in the workplace, in schools, and in leisure, is essential. Thriving communities provide the best context for a flourishing language and Dyfodol i’r Iaith will focus on ensuring a sustainable future for the Welsh language in its communities.

We will operate in many fields, including planning, economic development and promoting the social use of the language. As the planning process sometimes promotes over-development we will argue for fair planning, based on local needs and the long term sustainability of the Welsh language. The language should also be central to economic development so that decent jobs are created in those parts of Wales that are linguistically sensitive.
